Singapore MapSingapore Map is my very first software which I open to public. It is a Newton Book made with Newton Press 1.1. Singapore is so small country that overall map can be made within a practical file size. Of course it depends on the scale, yet almost all the streets are shown in this map. Development of Singapore is so rapid and new roads seem to be being constructed almost every month. So at this moment of release it might already be a little out of date in some area. Don't blame me.System Requirements Newton MessagePad 2000, 2100 or e-Mate with Newton OS 2.0 or later 1.2MB of Memory Space 4bit (16 grays) display in portrait modeInstallationSingapore Map is a Newton Book, so all you have to do is just to install it as you always do. Book reader function is built in to Newton OS itself. How to Navigate within the MapI contrived a means of the way to scroll north-south and east-west in a limited function of Newton Press. To scroll East and West, tap the triangle arrows located at the bottom of the page. To scroll North and South, tap up and down arrow of the button bar of the screen. You can also use cover page (p.1) to overview Singapore Island and go to specific page using page button. Alternatively, you can use street index. Just tap the street name and jump to the location. Use overview button (next to up and down arrows) to go to these indexes.LicenseSingapore Map is a Freeware. You can freely distribute it to other Newton users by beaming (it will take some time because of its size, though). It may also be distributed to other online services provided that it is in original condition and this document is attached and an in-advance notice via e-mail. What's next?I'm now making a detailed map of downtown area of Singapore, to be used together with this map. So please keep in touch with me at undersigned web site.Contact InformationHiroshi TakagiAsian Mac & Newton Connectionhttp://home1.pacific.net.sg/~h_takagiamnc@bigfoot.comJuly 1, 1998
