HTML stands for "HyperText Markup Language" and is the so-called language of the World Wide Web. With nHTML, users can create HTML documents with ease! The power of web authoring in the palm of your hand! ================== Why a public beta? ================== nHTML is current in the Public Beta stage. We feel that it is stable enough for public usage. However, because it is in the beta stage, there are a number of features that are either disabled or missing in the final release. As we finish each remaining component, nHTML will move closer and closer to the final release. Here is a current list of commands and features that will be added soon to nHTML: o Better integration with newtFTP. o Convert to HTML: Convert your formatted NewtWorks documents into HTML code. o Better support for NewtsCape: Future versions of nHTML will provide better support for NewtsCape-specific features such as embedded NewtonScript, and more! o Color: Finish the Color dialog box. o Custom: Insert custom, user-defined tags with nHTML. =================== System Requirements =================== nHTML requires Newton OS 2.x and 56K of storage space. nHTML requires a NewtonID for registration purposes. ================ Installing nHTML ================ nHTML is installed like any Newton package, using the Newton Backup Utility (NBU), the Newton Connection Utilities (NCU), or any third-party package downloading utility. o nHTML: Unfiled Icons folder in Extras. =========== Using nHTML =========== Tapping on nHTML's icon from the Extras Drawer will start up the app and display the nHTML palette. nHTML can also be accessed from within Foundation System's total text input solution application WriteHere: http://www.tow.com/newton/writehere/writehere.html or from NewtWorks (tap on the Tools menu and select nHTML). nHTML works in any application that supports text input, from the Notepad to NewtWorks! The nHTML palette will have the following buttons: o Document: Create new HTML documents. o Anchor: Adds HREF and NAME tags: mailto, http, ftp, news, etc. o Image: Add images tags with size, spacing, border options and more. o Heading: Headings from 1-6 with alignment options. o Color: Not implemented yet. o Font: Absolute, relative, size, and color options for your fonts! o Style: Bold, Italic, Underline, Superscript, Subscript, Strikethrough, Address, Block Quote, Blink, Center, Citation, Code, Definition, Emphasis, Keyboard, Preformatted, Strong Emphasis, Teletype, and Variable! o Horizontal Rule: Adds a horizontal rule to your HTML document. o Paragraph: Encapsulates selected paragraphs within paragraph tags,
